She has a crush on her childhood friend Rita Terasaka (Kento Yamazaki) and believes he will eventually choose her as her heroine, but Rita Terasaka begins dating Miho Adachi. Meanwhile, the most popular male student, Kosuke Hiromitsu (Kentaro Sakaguchi) takes an interest in Hatori Matsuzaki. (asiawiki-2015)
Why did I punish myself watching this lame movie? Because of these 2 ikemen, that's why. Sometimes I am shallow too, and this time I paid for it. On one side of the scale they were SakaKen and YamaKen. On the other side was Kiritani Mirei. Sorry guys, but the bad actress was stronger that both of you combined. And one of the main reasons is that YamaKen's role, as Rita, the childhood friend, was boring, expression-less, emo, etc, etc. Roles that we all have seen before. YamaKen, please choose better!
Kiritani Mirei, I don't know why, but she is very popular and people like her. In my case, I think she is one of the worst Japanese actresses. Not because she is skinny (like, super skinny... her legs are two sticks) and not only because she is pretty it means she has to be an actress. I've read that people liked her silly expressions, but to me they were cringe-worthy. She tried hard, but failed bigger. When other talented actresses **coughcough like Miki Honoka coughcough** make this kind of silly expressions, it works. On Kiritani Mirei... gawd, painful. Painful.
Like most people, I also got the Second Lead Syndrome. That is, the Second FEMALE Lead Syndrome. Adashi, Rita's girlfriend, was to me prettier than Hatori, in a no-obvious way. She was sweeter, and she deserved to have a nice boyfriend, because that Hatori girl was so annoying! But half of the movie (or was it sooner?) I realized not even Adachi deserved to have such a lame boyfriend as Rita. What a boring guy!
The cinematography was nice, but the story was terrible, and the characters, not likable at all. It was pain to finish this. I will never punish myself like this again.
