Fans of KS are lucky enough to have TWO! subbed of it -so far- 4 musicals. Kuroshitsuji the Musical That Butler, Friendship was the first one, and after seeing the second one first, it is impossible not to make some comparisons.

They obviously improved for the next musical. I would say that, what I love about the first Kuromyu, were: 1) the boy who played Ciel. He was handsome and had a decent voice. In fact, he sounded very similar to the second Ciel, only less nasally. 2) More lines for Undertaker. True, he was very OoC some parts, but that made it funnier. 3) Lots of fighting scenes. Matsushita as Sebastian did it excellent, it was like watching a dance. I love the one with Grell -mostly because I love Grell!- but the winner of all battles was Mey-Rin. WOW, she was a pro, so effortlessly! Like she wasn't thinking when she was making these awesome moves. Kudos for her. 4) Lao is here, as well as Agni and Soma (but for the last two, their scenes were tiny, tiny). And although Tanaka is not really there, his role is more important and very funny.

As for the things I did not like: 1) the story. I did not care a bit about Yuuki and Kirito and the brother. And their parts were huge, larger than Grell's and Undertaker's and the servants. Heck, even larger than Ciel's. I wanted to fast forward all their scenes, but it would have meant missing 70% of the musical, so I didn't. 2) Less musical, more play. Not too many songs, and the little they were, weren't as good as in the second musical (remember The Shinigami song one?). The best one I think it was "Black vs. Red", but I may be biased, because it was a Sebastian vs. Grell one. 3) Matsushita improved so much for the second kuromyu, especially in his voice. In this musical, he sounded weaker. His voice did not sound so good; it was more high-pitched and nothing at all like Sebastian. 4) The scenery, being smaller, did not give room to more dynamic. So it made the musical slower and with pauses between each number (which did not happen in the second musical).

I wonder how come Uehara Takuya is so famous as Grell if he isn't allowed to shine more! His role is so tiny, it left me wanting more. His clothes.. his voice... his charisma... wow, more Grell please. Other than him and Undertaker, I love the actress who played Meyrin. She was wonderful! The same annoying voice, and of course, that memorable fight scene.

I also prefer the end of the second musical. It was more bittersweet, and the applauses for the actors were better -as in, the actors took their time to receive the congratulations of the audience. For this musical, it just... ended. Bow + bow, and the end.

To people who did not watch the musicals yet, I would recommend to start with the 2nd one. It was better and it was the one who made me a fan of the musicals.

Kuroshitsuji: The Most Beautiful DEATH in The World 千の魂と堕ちた死神 (Sen no Tamashī to Ochita Shinigami - A Thousand Souls and A Fallen Grim Reaper) is the second musical spin-off from the Kuroshitsuji series.[1] The musical also had a second run that was premiered on May–July 2013. (source: wikia)

I read about this musical years ago but I couldn't get myself to watch it. I don't know exactly why.. maybe because I could not see KS as a musical? Or maybe because I decided to stick to the manga only? Because the anime was a disappointment, and the movie.. better not talk about it.

Anyway, lately I've been following Matsushita Yuta a little bit, and when I saw a photo of Uehara Takuya, my, I became almost obsessed. Why, he looks exactly like Bakanishi. I couldn't help but daydream about a possible dorama with Kame and Uehara (yes, nice to meet you, I am an Akame fan). Even if they look like twins, I like Uehara more (hello, I can't stand Bakanishi). So these two little actors were the main key for me to watch the Musical.

Alas, I am not disappointed at all! This 2nd musical was excellent. I am almost green with envy for the people who were lucky to watch this live. The actors were identical to the manga. Amazing. The clothes, top quality. The set... breathtaking.

Yuya as Sebastian Michaelis. WOW. And Sebastian is not anyone, so Yuya had a huge responsibility. He was perfect. His pose, his voice! I love every time he sang. He has a beautiful voice. He is very good-looking. Cute but manly too (Sebastian cannot be just cute... or cute at all). His wig was great! I can't praise him enough.

The little boy who played Ciel. Nishii Yukito (Yukito!). He is such a great actor. I watched him in "Confessions" and he really does the mean look so good! He looked so much like Ciel: a cute little spoiled brat. His costumes were excellent, including the gorgeous dress he wore once. His singing voice was not too good, but when he talked was excellent (very similar to Ciel-anime).

Uehara as Grell.. Do I need to say more than what it was already said? Crazy as Grell, I loved his songs (his solo and the one with the other Shinigamis), his costume, and his talking voice. The only thing that disappoint me a little bit was that I thought his role was going to be bigger. He steals the show every time he was on stage, and not only because he was the only one with colorful clothes. The funniest lines were all from him, like when he said Sebastian kept him awake all night. I loved it! Lots of fanservice.

Ohhh, Undertaker was top-notch too. I loved him, his little laugh, and his costume! I am glad he had a part in this Musical, cuz Undertaker is an excellent character.

I can't praise enough the other Shinigamis and the Phantomphive servants. It is like the manga characters were brought to life. The song "The Shinigami Dispatch Society" may be my favorite, because it was funny and it included an excellent dance! And it was a plus that the dancers were handsome guys in suit <3 and that Grell, in his red suit, was impossible not to see (and the actor who played William was very, very pretty).

Two little things I did not like that much. First, the actor who played Viscount Druitt. I can't say exactly why, but he did not resemble Druitt as much. As I hoped, at least. And I am not referring to his costume or face. More like, his personality. Something was off. He was a very good singer, but I was not dazzled by his performance.

The other thing is that Alan and Eric were too much of main characters to my liking. I prefer if there were more Ciel/Sebastian, more Grell, instead of these two pathetic characters. Maybe it did not help that I don't know them (they are not part of the recurring roles in the manga).

Overall, I loved this musical. I found the subtitled Kuromyu I (yayyy!!) but nothing on the Kuromyu III (boooo). Although I am going to miss this Ciel (he was too perfect!), I am sure the other Ciel is not going to let me down.
