A man (Masaki Aiba) identifies himself as “Kizoku” ("Aristocrat") and works as a private detective for a hobby. Nobody knows his age, address or anything about his family. The actual deductions and investigations are carried out by his employees including his butler, maid and chauffeur. He only has a good time talking to the women involved in the cases.

Meanwhile, Aika Takatoku (Emi Takei) works as a private detective. She competes with the Aristocrat Detective to solve cases. (asiawiki-2017)

As much as I love Aiba, when the cast was announced I was a bit disappointed since the supporting cast was much, much better in acting than Aiba. After finishing it, I think even the director knew it since, to me, Aiba had shorter scenes than, for example, Igawa Haruka, who played Takei's Mentor.

Story: (6/10) I love mysteries, and this dorama was episodic, so I enjoyed watching each and every one. All of them seemed to me like they were 25-minutes long, instead of 45-50. Still, I can't say that they were memorable. The murders were MEH, but at least, the revelation of how and who committed them, were fun. I also didn't like how Aika was always wrong, and how rude was the supposed Noble Detective with her. I wasn't interested in his story, I didn't find him mysterious, but somewhat unlikable. On the other hand, his employees were the main attraction, every time they had to recreate the murder. To me, that was the highlight of the show. And the biggest let down? The ending. It was WTH, in my opinion. It didn't make any sense: not the thing with the Mentor, and not the thing between Kizoku Tantei and Aika.

Cast: (8/10) So Aiba wasn't that good, but I think he improved a little bit. But he still is not a good actor :( By far the best actors were the supporting one. I could feel that the employees (the butler, the maid and the chaffeur) had a lot of fun with their roles. But the one thing that I was most excited about was Nakama Yukie. I wanted at least a tiny scene between her and Namase Katsuhisa. Even more if possible since Namase's character was basically Yabe #2. And what I got? NOTHING. Like, two episodes of her as a Mysterious Woman. Like, 5 lines. Ergo, NOTHING. That she is so up in the list is a lie.

There were many guest roles, but of course my favorite surprise was Kotoko-chan, my little daughter, in the final 2 episodes. She is as cute as ever.

Music: (10/10) The OST was excellent, and the EP song, "I'll be there for you", by Arashi, complemented the dorama like a glove.

**My rating: 7/10**
