A monster (Gou Ayano) was created from an incident that took place 100 years ago. He possesses super physical ability and can live forever. He yearns for humans and listens to the radio. He picks up things thrown away by other people. The monster dreams of living as a human. One day, he meets a young woman Tsugaru. He falls in love with her. (asiawiki-2017)

With each drama and movie, I like Ayano Go more and more. He is truly wonderful, he has such a kind smile (when he plays kind characters, that is). And when he cries.... I felt like I wanted to be there with him and comfort him and protect him against everything. His role in this dorama was so much like Edward-scissor-hands. By far, the two best thing about this dorama were him and the ED song.
I think that Nikaido Fumi is a good actress, but she wasn't good here. First of all, I think her clothes and hairstyle were ridiculous. Her personality was bland, so bland it makes me worry that two handsome guys fall for her (and two other very handsome guys fell for her ancestor in the past). And secondly, and most important, she had ZERO chemistry with Franken. ZERO. To me, it wasn't a romance at all. It felt like she loved him like a pet. I could never felt that she saw him as a man.
The other characters were also bland. I think Franken and the girl from AKB, who btw, is very, very pretty (looked like a doll), were the only two characters with a resemblance of personality. Too bad the script was mediocre, since the setting was lovely, the angles of the camera were amazing (I was in awe in the first episode), Franken was a sweetheart, his clothes were charming, and the plot seemed interesting. And the scientist who revived him was no other than handsome Saito Takumi, who looked ridiculous with that beard, btw.
I love, LOVE, the song "Bouningen" by RADWIMPS. It is so good I listen to it every day. The ED sequence was SOOO good, I never missed to watch it.
The ending, after the ED sequence, was depressing. I wish I hadn't seen it.
***My rating: 6/10**
