Etsuko Kono (Satomi Ishihara) is a 28-year-old woman who loves fashion. Aspiring to become a fashion editor, she joins a publishing company, but she is sent to work in copy editing section. There, her job is to correct errors and inadequate parts of documents and copies. (asiawiki-2016)

I liked this more than I thought I would. I watched Ep. 4 when I visited Japan, for about 10 minutes (but since I couldn't understand anything and I did not know what it was about, I turned off the TV). According to the recommendations in MDL, this one is similar to "Juhan Shuttai", which I can totally understand. It is about work and being inspired by it and inspire people around.

I think Ishihara Satomi was spectacular as Konno Ecchan. She has that bubbly personality that fits the character. Her laughs always made me laugh, they are so silly and contagious. Her clothes were beautiful and fit her like glove. I love the various hairstyles and accessories she wears throughout the episodes. Since I am a huge fan of nail art, I was a bit disappointed to see that her nails were simple done, nothing fancy. I get that her character is based on a girl who loves fashion, but it was also a bit unrealistic that she wears a different outfit every day, wears a different piyamas every day, and has a elaborated hairstyle every day. Oh well, at least she repeats the shoes...

But more than anything, I liked how hard she worked (even though Proofreading wasn't her vocation) and how her work inspired her co-workers to give it all. Maybe Proofreading is a bit tedious, and I don't think it involves all the research they did, but I wanted so much to work in that Editorial, it looked so much fun. Reading books and researching, to check that all facts were correct. With a calm work group and a nice boss. What more to ask??

I've read several times that Honda Tsubasa ("Morio") is a bland actress, with dead eyes, but I didn't find her bad. Maybe she looked a bit bored a couple of times, but I think her character was like that. She appeared to be a sort of rival but she wasn't, and she turns out to be a supportive friend to Ecchan.

I loved all the interactions between Ecchan and Kaizuka, or "Tako". It was kinda like Buchou and Ahomiya (a little bit). There was a camaraderie between them, and all the bickering! He may not be an "ikemen", but the actor has a Nagase Tomoya vibe that made him more attractive than I thought at first.

I was not particularly fond of Yukito. I mean, he was a great guy, very nice and I love how he lifted Ecchan's spirits with the draft of his next book, but I liked Kaizura more. I guess I prefer all heroines in doramas to end up with the older guy (Hotaru no Hikari, Last Cinderella, etc).

There was plenty of romance, more than I thought. Even with other characters, like Fujiwa-san and her husband (off-screen) and Yoneoka, who at first seems like it was a crush, but at the end, both guys end up being a cute couple. The ending was kinda MEH, but I think is realistic since most girls now chose work over love (in Japan).

I loved the OP sequence and song, catchy and fun and kinda girly.

**My rating: 9/10**
