Good drama, it was like watching an anime sometimes. It was not silly as I thought it would be... or at least, not THAT silly. Miura did a good job, portraying two different characters. His samurai role was a lot better than the silly one, mostly because student-Kotaro was just too childish, and sometimes it was like Miura tried too hard to play silly. But when he had to fight with a resemblance of katana, he looked really cool. All his movements + his hairstyle = me like. Too bad that as a samurai, he did not smile at all. Because Miura in samurai costume + that beautiful smile **swoon**. Since he is a pretty boy I don't pay him much attention, but I can't deny he has the most beautiful mouth (lips and smile).
The trio of him, Shirota Yuu and Anne was, in my head, the Trio of Pouts. They were constantly pouting, I swear. It was like a competition or something, and I can't way who won... the three of them exceeded in that area. They were like this most of the times: (*3*) Anne was OK as the classmate who may or may not like Kotaro romantically. Maybe she was a bit grumpy. And does she really sing that good, or was it a stunt? I was impressed. On the other hand, I was not impressed with Shirota. I am not too familiar with his acting skills, but in this dorama, he can't act. First of all, he tried too hard to look clumsy and shy. It did not suit him at all. Second, in the last chapter where he was in the interrogation room with the police, it was obvious he wanted to laugh (while trying to whine). No, awful choice as Nakamura. I wanted to punch him most of the times, his way of talking, of walking... And I was marveled that people find him attractive. Errr, NO. Not attractive AT ALL.
The photography of the series was very nice, all beautiful backgrounds. The school uniform, top-notch. It was very eye-candy. I love the little details of the jacket, pink for girls and light blue for boys.
The dorama has it dramatic moments, it is not entirely fluffy. The last 2 chapters were the worst. That guy who tried to incriminate Kotaro... I hate when they do that kind of stuff in a dorama. And worst of all, when at the end the MC gives a half-hour speech in front of the entire cast and then the "bad guy" redeems himself. Please, more originality when ending a show.
As for the supporting cast, I liked the police guy and the sensei. The police guy can act in anything, as bad, silly or nice. I did not know this was a mini-Crow reunion =)
Oh, and the director -again in a school dorama- being an ass. Not caring about her students and doing unethical stuff. But wait, she also redeems herself at the end **eye-roll**.
