Set sometime in the near future, Attorney Phoenix Wright (Hiroki Narimiya) goes up against childhood friend and now top prosector Miles Edgeworth (Takumi Saito) over the guilt or innocence of client Maya Fey (Mirei Kiritani). The legal system allows for only 3 days of trial before the judge makes a decision. Intense pressure mounts on both sides as both men must use their power of persuasion and presentation to sway the judge.
After the trial, Attorney Phoenix Wright learns that Miles Edgeworth himself has been arrested for murder. Phoenix Wright decides to defend his longtime friend and learns that his opponent is none other than Von Karma (Ryo Ishibashi). Von Karma is a legendary prosecutor who has never lost a court case in over 40 years of work! Meanwhile, a 15-year-old mystery is about to be solved by Attorney Phoenix Wright ... (asianwiki-2012)

I am not familiar with the game (but I wish!) nor I have seen the anime (yet), but I enjoyed the movie. I think it is always easy to enjoy a law/mystery story. Of course, it has to be well narrated, and this was. I may have been a little bit lost at the beginning -the first case- but quickly enough I caught up with the flow.
My reason to watch it was, yes again, Takumi-kun. My crush is still on. He was so serious in this movie, he smiles only once. His hair was more ridiculous than the attorney, but nevertheless, he was so handsome <3 Narimiya too, and his acting was good. Too bad I can't say the same about Kiritani Mirei, but well, I don't like her that much to be honest.
There are a few familiar faces, all in funny outfits and ridiculous hairdos. The special effects were good and eye-catching. The mystery involved a couple of cases together, and tbh I did not see it coming who was the culprit. I liked the movie and I will watch the musical as well (it is on YT). I wish I could play the game, I am very curious now, but also ignorant in that field :(
**My rating: 8/10**
