I am currently having amajor tiny crush on Saito Takumi, reason why I watched this movie. Yes I love yaoi as well, but currently (with the Takumi series) I have bad experiences with this kind of movie so, in spite of having half dozen sitting in my computer, waiting to be watched, I am procrastinating. My reasons for not watching anymore yaoi movies (although there is one that I loved, so it is not only negative experience) are: terrible hairdos (TERRIBLE); bad acting (ergo, no chemistry) and just mediocre stories in general. Typical yaoi. So yeah, I used to love yaoi but lately I am amazed at the bad plots.
Anyway, this movie isn't really yaoi. Yes, there is a kiss at the end of the movie, but it felt more like a friendly-kiss-in-the-mouth. In general, it was more about the new friendship between Hayase and Noboru (and Ryu?). Bromance, if you want to label it. There wasn't really any sexual tension. As far as I can tell, there wasn't any romantic feelings. It is mostly about Hayase meeting a new friend in Ryu and being curious about Noboru. As for Noboru, is about his history with his twin brother, his bond with him and at the same time, his love-hate relationship with him.
Not a bad movie, per se, I just didn't get the reason why it was done. It was so normal. Although Takumi looked really good here. Except maybe for the hair. Since I have a mediocre copy, and with that hairstyle, it was like I was watching Bakanishi. Seriously, same hairdo (in his SIGNAL time... or Yorokobi no Uta...). It was maddening. There I was, anxious to see pretty Takumi-kun and no, sometimes I was watching stupid Bakanishi. Ugh.
For yaoi fans (who want to see an interesting plot instead of a ridiculous one; a handsome guy instead of awkward "romantic" scenes) I can say that it is ok. Besides, it is 67minutes long. Super short.
