Ryo Naruse (Satoshi Ohno) is known as the “Angelic lawyer”, a very smart lawyer who always manages to alter any case to its advantage. However, he also has another face that nobody knows about. He is in fact, a “Satan” who has been devoting his whole life to seeking revenge on the person who killed his younger brother 11 years ago…
Naoto Serizawa (Toma Ikuta) is a fervent detective who has the top crime arresting rate. However, his hate for crimes is so strong that he often causes trouble during investigations. One day, Naoto receives a package containing a tarot card. Few days later, Naoto’s father Eisaku’s lawyer is murdered. At the crime scene, they find the same tarot card that was in the package…
One mystery is followed by another in a series of killings. It is “the” perfect revenge scenario…so perfect that it is almost beautiful.
A confrontation between two people, both with a dark past is about to begin. (asiawiki-2008)

As fan of Arashi, I am very proud of Ohno in this drama. His role was far from his image, and he did it excellent. I almost forgot sometimes that I was watching Ohno... it was so different from who he is in varieties and concerts. And his crying face + sobs in the last episode... amazing! I almost teared up because of it, it was really well done.
On the other hand, I don't think Toma was so good. I think Ohno was by far much better. I honestly thought many times that it seemed like Toma wanted to laugh in certain scenes, even in some dramatic scenes.
The girl portrayed by Kobayashi Ryoko was a nice character, wasn't annoying at all, thank God, and I was rooting for her to help and change Naruse.
The cast wasn't so good, especially some annoying characters, like the reporter and the friend who blackmails Tanaka Kei. Both were awful, terrible acting that grate on my nerves. Their fake laughs were super annoying.
It was a good story, since I like revenge stories that are well done, and this one was well done because the script was good. I thought it was going to be darker, but with how it ends, with 70% of the characters dead, it couldn't be darker, I guess. I would classify this as Tragedy instead, but whatever. Both leads were good people with flaws, but in most stories I read I am always siding with the one who is seeking revenge, and this one was no exception. The only plothole I found is, how does Naruse decide what Shiori can "see"? Wasn't it too convenient? Oh well...
Of course I give a 10/10 to the ending song, "Truth". I like 95% of Arashi's songs, and this one fitted the drama perfectly.
Sometimes I was thinking that it should have been shorter (1o episodes) but overall it was a good drama that didn't drag. I just didn't like certain arcs.
**My rating: 7.5/10**
