Amamiya Kuniyuki is the unemployed son of a tonkatsu restaurant owner. He finds a job that requires a married person, so he lies by saying that he has plans to marry, and he is forced to keep up the charade using Tobita Haruno, a part-time worker from the restaurant. The relationship between the two is the key of this romantic comedy, though the series also focuses on family and friendship through Nakai's interactions with the other characters.

May be the drama that took me the longer to finish. I watched like, a chapter per week, instead of day. It is not one of those doramas that suck you in. It is not boring either... just, not so good.

I watched this mainly because of Ueda. His first dorama. He is the kawaii younger brother of Nakai. Unfortunately he says like, 5 lines in the entire dorama. His role is tiny. His hair was awful in that time (I always associate that hairstyle to 6-nin KAT-TUN, so it is a bit nostalgic to see him like that). I think I liked his ending only. I like that he marries an older woman.

So, the good things about this dorama. The main one, was the marriage hunt. It was interesting to learn about that step towards to marriage. Only in Japan. Kind like the Omai. People gather to meet new people from the opposite sex, in order to find a spouse. I don't think I would do it, but I liked to learn about it.

I've read somewhere that the actor who played Nakai's father is in around 50% of the movies/doramas, although for me is Tanaka Yoji, who is also in the dorama (but his role is tiny; tinier than Ueda's) I like this actor (Kohinata Fumiyo). He looks so gentle. He was perfect as the father and as the owner of the Tonkatsu Restaurant. I also liked Makoto. WOW, her legs! I just read she is also a model, no wonder. She also knows how to act.

The bad things? Let's see. First, the romance. Or lack of. Cause Kuni never acted like he fall for Haruno. Never. From beginning to end. To me, they were more like brother and sister. Or it may have been because Haruno (Ueto Aya) was moping and Kuni just wanted to pleased her, hence the confession of "I don't want to be your brother anymore". Meh.

Most of the cast was MEH. Like Ueto Aya. Sure, she is pretty, but the only thing she does in this dorama is to flash her beautiful smile or pout her pretty lips. That's it. She never acted like she truly loved Kuni. Her acting was mediocre.

Waaa, Sato Ryuta (Shige) was the most annoying character of all. He, Kuni and Haruno have been friends since children. He likes a cold girl, who rejects him. Haruno stands out for him, saying he is a nice guy. And, ohhh, Shige falls in love with Haruno in that second, and he is certain she loves him too. Err, how old is he? At least 35, but he acts like a sweet naive teenager. Haruno is not even aware he is "in love" with her, and he is buying the ring, to propose. Yeah, right. Of course he is rejected, but he takes all with a "sunshine" smile. Because he is sooo nice. And once he knows Haruno is "in love" with Kuni, he "totally" supports her, because he is the nicest.

Not really. He is just annoying and stupid.

The Director. Yikes, terrible woman, so annoying. That's all I am saying.

Nakai was just Nakai. He can act, I can't complain on that. But I can't say I liked his character. He was.. just fine. His hair on the poster is a lot better than in the dorama. I don't like his orange color.

I did not like that Yuko-san ended with the ojisan. Not at all. What was it, like 25 years of difference? Hmph, no thanks.

My final rating: 3/10
